Sorority life is fun and exciting, and Recruitment is only the first step.  In Chi Omega, we have made lifelong friends-- friends with whom we  share our funniest moments and our greatest aspirations.   As a Chi Omega, you can be involved right from the start.  You will have the opportunity to attend social exchanges, formals and other social events, participate in philanthropy events, and learn about different
ways to get involved on campus.

For us, it was a decision that has enriched our entire college experience. We can't wait for you to see it too!

Recruitment is such an exciting experience.  Although it may seem overwhelming at times, remember--each girl in our chapter was once in your shoes.  We cannot wait for you to feel the same excitement we did.

Fall 2011 Recruitment

Open House/Philanthropy Round, Friday September 9th
Today you will visit each sorority.  You will tour the houses, meet the members and learn more about their philanthropy.  Dress is casual, cute shorts, tops and flats.  You will be walking from house to house so dress cool and comfortable!

Invitational/Theme Round, Saturday, September 10th
The sororities personalities shine through today. You will enjoy seeing what they have in store for you on this day of theme parties.  The dress is a little nicer today, cute sundresses, skirts or pants with cute tops and flats.

Preference Round, Sunday, September 11th
Recruitments most special and formal of parties.  The dress today is semi-formal,  like a dress you might wear to a wedding reception.

Bid Day, Sunday, September 11th (evening)
This is what you've been waiting for, meeting your new Sisters!  This event will be held in the Baker Pattillo Student Center Grand Ballroom, then you will join your new Sisters for a party thrown in your honor in your new "Home", the Sorority House!  You will want to dress comfortably, shorts with light or white t-shirts and comfortable shoes.

What is a Rho Beta Sigma??

Rho Beta Sigma's are women from each Sorority on campus who disaffiliate from their chapters for the entire summer and the first part of the school year. They counsel and guide Potential New Members through the recruitment process without favorable intensions for their own chapter.  They will become true friends and mentors to you!  At the conclusion of recruitment they rejoin their respective groups so the New Members (that will be you!) can see which Sorority they actually belong to.

"My favorite thing about going through recruitment was thinking I knew where I belonged, then having my eyes opened and heart changed.
Thanks Chi O, I love you!"
~Morgan Albright,  Fall 2009

"My favorite part of recruitment is when we get to see all of our new sisters run to us on bid day!"
